1970’s: Dr. Quittenton Runs For Windsor-Walkerville Seat
It’s our 50th anniversary and we’re taking a look back at leadership at St. Clair College…
In September 1972, the College’s current President, Dr. Richard Quittenton, announced his desire to seek the Progressive Conservative nomination in the federal riding of Windsor-Walkerville.
In his absence, Chas Jackson served as Acting President.
The election took place October 30 and Quittenton lost to Liberal candidate Mark McQuigan.
Quittenton was back on the job as College President the following day.
